Instead of the usual cake and awkward mingling birthday party, our friend Martin held a jam sesh in a cozy studio somewhere on the perimeter of Moscow. Walking into a seemingly empty, massive building with nothing but security guards on the first floor, we weren't sure what to expect. But that's Moscow. There are hidden gems of cafes or recording studios in places you wouldn't find unless you knew where to look for them.
It was a musically talented group- most people brought/played at least two instruments. Everything was on-the-spot, spontaneous jam and it sounded amazing. We also got to enjoy some singing and poetry reading.
