On October 17th and 18th, the Flacon factory hosted a handcraft festival. It was advertised on weheart.moscow, big time Moscow, and several Moscow Facebook groups so if you didn't hear about it you should think about subscribing to a few of those platforms~
It was the closest thing to Brooklyn that I have seen in Moscow. First of all, the flacon development has a row of hipster clothing, houseware, music, and variety shops that remind me of the Chelsea market or the Williamsburg market.
The craft show was in one of these building in the block.
Booths were selling jewelry, soap, knit and crochet items, coffee and tea, and most other things you would expect to see in a Brooklyn market.
There was a cotton candy machine and photo booth area as well, which added greatly to the vibrancy of the relatively small event.
Every weekend I find a new pocket of Moscow that I couldn't imagine existed. I hope to go back soon.
